Closing the Missed Point-of-Sale Gap
StarProtect Legacy allows coverage to be added after installation when protection was not included with the original EV charger purchase. Coverage can be added from six months after installation up to six months before the OEM warranty expires, enabling partners to protect deployed charging assets and align coverage across their installed base.
This solution supports OEMs, VARs, CPOs, distributors, fleet operators, infrastructure developers, network operators, and service providers seeking to standardize protection across their installed base.
Extending Coverage Beyond the OEM Warranty
For chargers that no longer have manufacturer coverage, StarProtect Extend introduces new protection after the OEM warranty has expired. This allows partners to extend an asset’s life and maintain service continuity for chargers that remain operational but unprotected.
StarProtect Extend is available in one-year or two-year terms and is designed for the same EV partners managing aging installations.
Lifecycle Protection for Charging Infrastructure
Together, these solutions complete EVSTAR’s lifecycle approach to charger protection, enabling coverage across:
- New installations with StarProtect Pro
- Existing installations with remaining OEM warranty with StarProtect Legacy
- Existing installations with no OEM warranty remaining with StarProtect Extend
