This month, we’re highlighting our long-standing relationship with Blink Charging, a leader in the electric vehicle (EV) charging industry.
About Blink Charging
Blink Charging is a global provider, owner, and operator of EV charging equipment and services. Through the Blink Network and innovative charging solutions, Blink supports hosts, businesses, fleets, municipalities, and drivers across a wide range of needs and locations.
Blink’s approach is built around delivering reliable charging solutions tailored to the needs of hosts and drivers, enabling the efficient development and expansion of EV charging infrastructure.
Focused on Reliability
Reliability is at the heart of Blink’s mission. For Blink, uptime is about charger availability, reliability, operational continuity, and confidence in the charging experience. Disruptions to uptime can affect the driver experience, overall site utilization, and create challenges in daily operations for businesses.
This is why Blink focuses not just on deployment, but on the systems and support behind the charger. Blink understands reliability is at the core of how hosts, fleets, and EV drivers evaluate long-term charging value.
Our Strategic Agreement
Blink’s strategic agreement with EVSTAR adds another layer of confidence and protection to charger ownership and EV charging infrastructure development. In 2024, Blink collaborated with EVSTAR to offer StarProtect Pro, an optional three-year or five-year comprehensive protection plan, to U.S. customers. They have since expanded the EVSTAR solutions to include a 7-year option for StarProtect Pro and added our new solutions StarProtect Legacy and StarProtect Extend, which can be added after installation or after the OEM warranty expires, allowing customers to align coverage across their entire base.
Customers who choose to add EVSTAR protection may avoid out-of-pocket expenses for eligible claims, even if the charging station requires full replacement. EVSTAR’s warranties cover mechanical and electrical failures, accidental damage, power surges, parts, and labor, allowing customers to focus on expanding their EV charging networks without the hassle of managing repair logistics.
For Blink’s customers operating chargers in a commercial, workplace, fleet, or other high-use locations, the value of EVSTAR’s comprehensive protection plan is reducing financial exposure and simplifying repair processes when issues arise. This helps strengthen confidence with customers and adds an option for protecting charging assets over a longer period while reducing the burden of coordinating repair logistics without support. The protection plan is a practical extension of Blink’s focus on reliability and customer-first approach.
What’s to Come for Blink Charging
Blink remains focused on expanding access to reliable EV charging to EV drivers globally, strengthening the customer experience and customer confidence, and continuing to build the technology, network, and service capabilities that support sustainable EV charging infrastructure expansion. To that goal, Blink is continuing its emphasis on deploying capital into its owner-operated DC fast-charging network, investing in high-quality sites and improving long-term utilization across its infrastructure with a service-driven business model approach.
Blink Charging exemplifies the kind of collaboration EVSTAR was built for. We’re proud to support their mission and grow alongside them as EV charging continues to expand.
